Juan Andres Fontaine holds degrees in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and the University of Chicago (MA). He has been a Research Director at the Central Bank of Chile, a Professor at some of the major universities in Chile, a visiting Professor at UCLA, an author of several publications and an international consultant. Currently, he is Partner and Chief Executive of Fontaine & Paul Consultores, a firm that specializes in economic and financial consultancy in Chile and abroad. He is Chairman of the Board of Bolsa Electronica de Chile, and a Board member of Quinenco S.A., Socovesa S.A, and Transelec S.A.
